DEALER RECOGNITION PROGRAM

The Yamaha Outboard “Best in Class” Dealer Recognition Program rewards the most outstanding Yamaha Outboard dealers with an Incentive Trip Award for their year-long performance! This program will run from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Complete details explaining the Program Incentive Trip Award will be posted on YMBS.

1. All Yamaha outboard dealers are automatically enrolled in the program.

2. All dealers can view their progress for eligibility to participate in the “Best in Class” Program on YMBS by clicking the Office tab, My Profile, Best in Class.

 

PROGRAM QUALIFIERS

Dealers must meet all of the following standards in order to be eligible for consideration for the award:

 

Be a Dealer Principal (owner, general manager or sales manager) to qualify.

Be at least 21 years or older to be eligible to receive the award and be eligible to attend Incentive Trip.

At least one salesperson at your dealership must complete the 2025 Yamaha Marine University Best in Class Training Program. These online courses can be found on YMU Online under the “Best in Class” tab.

Warranty register a minimum of fifty (50) new Yamaha outboard units, either purchased directly from Yamaha or as part of a Pre-Paired Performance Package, between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.

Actively utilize YMBS for warranty registrations, parts ordering, warranty claim filing, etc.

Service training requirements must be up to date (i.e., a dealership technician must have attended an instructor-led service training course between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025 and be qualified at one hundred percent (100%) Labor Rate Reimbursement.

Have a certified trained Yamaha mechanic at your location.

Place a qualified current program year MRP Fall Booking Program order.

Dealership must comply with all terms and conditions as defined and outlined in the Yamaha Confidential Marine Power Dealer Sales Programs effective July 1, 2024.

Dealership must be in compliance with all terms and conditions of the Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. Sales and Service Agreement (Dealer Agreement/Outboard Motor Service Center Agreement).

Multiple Location Dealer Program Requirements

If a dealer with multiple locations (“Multiple Location Dealers”) wishes to have retail registrations for each location combined for Best in Class consideration, a Multiple Location Funding Form must be completed and each independent location must meet all of the Program Qualifiers stated above with the following exceptions:

Multiple Location Dealers will be required to warranty register a minimum of fifty (50) new Yamaha outboard units, either purchased directly from Yamaha or as part of a Pre-Paired Performance Package, between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025. This is a combination of fifty (50) units from all locations combined.

Multiple Location Dealers are required to place a qualified current program year MRP Fall Booking Program order from one (1) independent location at a minimum as long as each location has completed the required 2024 Yamaha Marine University Best in Class Training Program.

Multiple Location Dealers who do not meet these requirements will not be eligible to have registrations combined for Best in Class qualification; each independent location will be considered individually and all requirements will need to be met including a qualifying order from each location.

Dealerships with multiple locations can only qualify for one (1) award.

Award Consideration Criteria

To be eligible for the “Best in Class” Program Incentive Trip Award consideration, dealership must meet all Program Qualifications and be top ranked in your District Marketing Manager’s territory, or top-ranked nationally according to the following Award Consideration Criteria:

One top-ranked dealer in each territory will be considered for eligibility to receive the Yamaha “Best in Class” Award. The ranking is a combination of retail sales in units and retail sales dollars.

Two top-ranked “Key Dealers” in each sales region will be considered for eligibility to receive the Yamaha “Best in Class” Award. The ranking is a combination of retail sales in units and retail sales dollars.

Four of the top-ranked dealers nationally will be considered for eligibility to receive the Yamaha “Best in Class” Award. The ranking is a combination of retail sales in units and retail sales dollars.

Two dealers in each sales region will be selected at random to be considered for eligibility to receive the Yamaha “Best in Class” Award based on outstanding representation of the Yamaha brand. Criteria to be considered will include but not be limited to customer satisfaction, marketing, merchandising and sales leadership.

Four dealers nationally will be selected at random to be considered for eligibility to receive the Yamaha “Best in Class” Award based on outstanding representation of the Yamaha brand. Criteria to be considered will include but not be limited to customer satisfaction, marketing, merchandising and sales leadership.

Yamaha reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to disqualify any dealer from this outboard dealer recognition program for any reason it deems necessary, including but not limited to, Pre-Delivery Inspection violations, account is not current or dealer is not in good standing (including but not limited to SAU, non-renewal or termination letter sent to dealer, insufficient credit line, inadequate stocking and inadequate representation of product below average CSI score) at any time up to and including date of deliverance of Award. Yamaha also reserves the right to change or cancel this dealer incentive program at any time for any reason including but not limited to geographical or weather-related disasters, hostilities, public health emergencies, epidemics, pandemics, civil disturbance, political instability or unrest, acts of terrorism or acts of war whether declared or not. Any and all tax responsibility and/or obligations associated with any award shall be the sole responsibility of the dealership.
